Days 1-3 Quick Trim Cleanse.

Starting weight : 216.8
Weight morning day 4 : 212.2

So... Yeah score. I feel awesome! I'm wearing pants that havent been on my butt since before I was pregnant. :) And they are comphy. :) Today is a good day.

The cleanse isn't that bad. That said, I'm not really folowing the meal plan in the booklet. I'm just eating healthy and reducing my calories. (under 1500)
The hardest part is drinking all the water. Your supposed to drink a gallon everyday, which as it turns out is about what I'm supposed to drink anyway. I just cant seem to do it. I can get about 3/4 of it down. By about 9ish at night I feel like I am floating.

Positives:
I find my self only wanting the correct portion size of food. I feel full faster. I think its all that water.

I have lost weight, clothes fit me better.

Negitives:

Ummmm... You do have to AHEM use the bathroom more often. That said, its really not so bad. I survived Metformin, this is NOTHING like that.

I was expecting other negitive side effects like nausia and jitters, But so far I haven't had any of that. Also haven't had the energy surplus this pill says you may get. ( *pout* could really use that energy. )

So far so good. I'll check back in a few days.

The Wagon.... Falling Off Of.

I have been on the weight loss wagon, and off the weight loss wagon at least ten times in the past month. It’s a sucky self esteem battering situation.

I was in Ta*get tonight picking up a few things and two thin blonde twigs in workout clothes were walking behind me. I heard them start laughing and then one of the twigs said to the other one look at her butt. Yeah awesome. You rock bitch! As if I hadn't had a rough enough time adjusting to my post baby body without your unwarranted input. Suck my droopy jeans twiggy bitch. PS. Eat a steak... and choke on it.

I haven't been blogging about weight loss lately because I seem to be losing and gaining back the same couple of pounds, and two weeks ago we got a new scale, after being without a working one for a while. Our old scale was doing this thing where it would very 5 to 10 pounds every time you stepped on it. So we got a new shiny digital one. I didn't like what it said. So off I fell. I stopped exercising. I was actually starting to enjoy it, but the little voice in my head that kicks me when I'm down said "HA! It's not working." Actually, the scale I was using was broken, but I couldn't let myself believe that. I got into a negative downward spiral of suck.

Well no more. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of being the droopy pants-ed woman in the store, and I'm sick of having nothing that fits. Mostly I'm sick of feeling bad about my body. My amazing body, that just managed to do the one thing I've been trying so hard to get it to do for 5 years. I'm getting my body back. Tonight at Ta*get was the last straw.

I decided to kick things off with a cleanse. I've never done anything like this before. I'm not looking for a miracle with it. I'm just hoping that it cleans the junk out of my system and makes it so I don't want it so badly. If I manage to lose a few pounds in the process bonus, and that'll be just the motivation I need.

I decided on the Quicktrim cleanse, mainly because I can't stomach the thought of drinking some weird concoction or eating only apples, or some other crazy thing for 2 weeks. With the Quicktrim cleanse I get to eat food, and live my life. I have to drink more water, and take the pills (which I debated doing, but in the end I read the ingredients and it didn't have anything dangerous in it.) and exercise, for 14 days. I can do anything for 14 days. After the two weeks is up, my plan is to do the same thing I did to lose the weight the last time. I'm going to cut my calories and not eat processed white carbs, and drink lots of water. I will be tracking my food on my Lose It app to keep me on track. I also will be working out more. My goal to start is 4 days a week, doing the Kempo X video, and 30 minutes on my elliptical. I hope to get that up to 6 days a week, and maintain that. I hope that I can get more fit and maybe even start training to run a half marathon.

I'm starting the cleanse on Saturday, because that is when we get paid and I can buy new groceries, and get the old stuff out of my house. I'm going to start drinking the water in the morning, because it's free and I'm going to need to ease myself into it, as that is alot of water.

My goal weight is 180.

I hope to be at my goal weight by the end of August.

As an added bonus if I am on track for my goal, I should fit in my summer clothes. :)

The stats:

Starting weight:217

Daily calorie intake:1600

Water Intake: 169 oz

Pounds till goal: 37

Watch Me Shrink

Last week I lost 2 pounds! YAY! ... Mostly because of a lot of yard work I did on the one really nice day we had.

This week is going to be about adusting. Adjusting my diet and my exercize, and also adjusting my water in take. I've been drinking alot of anything that isn't water, and I want to get back into drinking water.

Goals this week:

Drink more water.

Exercize 3 times on my eliptical for 20 mins.

Eat less junk.

The Stats:
Starting weight: 216 ( 2 weeks ago.)
I weighed in this morning at 210.
My goal is 180.

Pounds lost: 6

Pounds to goal: 30

Losing it.

I hereby reinstate Watch Me Shrink Wednesdays! Who's in? (I'd do some sort of fancy linky thing here but I have no idea how.) So if you are losing it too just leave a comment and let me know.

So here's the deal... Jack is 7 months old, and I guess I had the delusion that the "baby" weight would have come off by now. By baby weight I mean the 15ish pounds that I gained while pregnant, and the 15ish pounds that I had to lose before I got pregnant. I got fed up only having a couple things that fit, and with spring coming NOTHING really fits. So. Yeah. There’s that.

So to get rid of my "protective layer" I am getting on my new friend the elliptical, and I'm doing that for a half an hour. Also I'm eating less.
Now that the weather is improving I see walks with Jack in the park and around the neighborhood happening in the near future too.

The Stats:
Starting weight: 216 ( 2 weeks ago.)
So I weighed in this morning at 212.
My goal is 180.

Pounds lost: 4

Pounds to goal: 32

To some people that may seem like a high goal weight. But I'm 6 feet tall, and if I weigh much less than that I look scary.

Day 10: favorite make up.

This question asks about MAC cosmetics. I don't own any. I'm sure they are awesome but I can't justify paying that much money for make up. So here are some of my favorites.

Kat Von D, True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Ludwig
I love how rich and shimmery the colors are in this pallet.

Nars Orgasm blush. Firstly, with a name like Orgasm it has to be good. Right? Second, its the perfect shimmery peachy pink. It works with my pale skin and when I have a tan. Its awesome.

Buxom mascara. It gives my lashes. That's no small feat.

Revlon Photo Ready foundation. I like it becasue it covers all of the yuck in my skin that has cropped up since having Jack. I didn't have acne durring purberty, but now I do. Awesome... NOT.

** all pictures are loveingly stolen from the internet. also I am not being paid to say I like or use these things. If some one wanted to pay me it would be cool though. :)

Day 9: Virtues.

I think my biggest virtue is patients. I can sit for hours and work on something and deal with unruly people all day. I know that as a parent, being patient has already helped me so much. I don't really lose my cool very easy. So Jack’s crying jags don’t get to me. I know when he is a toddler it will help too as I can already see his temper fits are going to be epic. He got his mommy’s stubbornness.

Day 8: Beauty Secret.

I don't have much time to spend in front of the mirror these days. But I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.

I have had terrible greasy hair since I got pregnant, it hasn't gone away. So I had to find something to do to make it more liveable. Once every two weeks I wash my hair with shampoo mixed with a tablespoon of baking soda, then I deep condition it. The baking soda clearifies and it leaves my hair light and not weighed down and lifeless.

If I do have time to get in there and do my make up, I don't have time to touch it up a thousand times durring the day, so I need it to stay put. I found this product durring one of my rare trips to Sephora, and I love it!
It's called glittler eye primer. If you put it on your lids before you put on your liner and shadow it stays put and you don't have to mess with it all day.

Day 7 : Cry it out.

I've been sick. I'm feeling a little better now so I'm playing catch up.

I never really had to try this method myself. We have been so blessed with an awesome sleeper. Sure there have been periods that he woke up at midnight and stayed up till 3 but I think that's a normal part of babyhood.

Jack slept in our room in a pack 'n' play for the first three month of his life. It was really more for me then for him. I wanted my baby near me. I wanted to be able to get up and grab him and feed him and put him back down without waking up too much. I wanted to be able to watch him sleep. I had this friend that had me so unnecessarily scared of SIDS that I could let him nap in a different room when he was first born. That ended as soon as I realized that I had no clean clothes and hadn't showered in days because I was afraid to do anything while he slept. When he was around two months it got to the point where Hub or the dogs or I would wake him up at night. His sleep patterns got worse instead of better. None of us were getting any sleep.

So Hub suggested that we put him in his crib, all the way in the next room. It took me about a week before I gave in and put my baby in his very nice crib in the next room. I sat in the living room watching him on the baby monitor till at least midnight. An amazing thing happened. He slept. He slept until 3 am that night. So I got 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep that night. It was heaven. Before long Jack slept for longer and longer periods of time.

We basically give him a bottle and a little snuggle time then he goes in his crib awake but sleepy, and he falls asleep on his own.
Because Jack learned to fall asleep by him self we get adult time and sleep.
